Hi, I’m Leonie and together with my husband Scott we’ve created Snowgum Studio. I do the shooting and Scott builds our sets and does the framing - It’s great to be able to work together (most of the time!). We have 3 boys, Chris, Jack and Thomas and they pitch in as well. I guess you could say we’re a real family business.
I completed an Advanced Diploma in Commercial Photography in 2002, achieving Highest overall Achievement for the Diploma. I am a member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography and have been winning awards for my photography on a national and local level since 2003.
Our studio is unique to Canberra, located outdoors on our farm ten minutes south of Tuggeranong. Scott has done a great job building various sets from a rustic cottage to a boat shed and jetty but I must say the long grass and gum trees are my favourite props.

Our aim is to create unique, honest, intimate portraits of you and your family. There’s no heavy makeup or blinding lights and kids have a wonderful time out here playing on ropes and climbing trees. It’s a great way to get them to relax and get natural, fun portraits.
If you prefer we are also happy to go to your home or a location of your choice. An additional fee applies for this.
